In 2003, I had the birthday of a lifetime! I finally got to see Marcy perform live at the Chicago Blues Festival on 5/30/03 and then at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn, IL on 5/31/03. Her live energy and stage presence just cannot be captured on recording! Afterward, I had the even greater pleasure of meeting her and was even more impressed by just how "real," down-to-earth and approachable she was.
Below are some pictures from the Blues Festival show on the "Front Porch Stage." Marcy was part of a super-star line-up, The Barry Goldberg Reunion that included Barry Goldberg, Harvey Mandel, Nick Gravenites, Tracy Nelson, Charlie Musselwhite, Corky Siegel, Sam Lay, Bob Stroger and Zach Wagner. Band spokesman, Zach Wagner, referred to Marcy as The Blue Chanteuse, and the Epiglottis Goddess.
Before the show, we caught sight of an unexpected guest...Jesus!? I don't know why, but someone dressed as Jesus and carrying a cross was in the crowd. Maybe he wanted to convert this bunch of "Blues Jews!"
Here are some photos from Marcy performing with Siegle-Schwall Blues Band at the Chicago Blues Festival, June 10, 2006. (Click to enlarge).

No it is not trick photography! The twins are genuine giants... with hearts to match!
